Greetings Staff,

Camp is gearing up, and staff week will be here before you know it. This year we ask that you bring your full class A to staff week, as we will be performing a staff uniform inspection. A uniform consists of: Class A Shirt, Official Boy Scouts or Venturing Pants/Shorts, and BSA socks. Jeans are not acceptable. We understand that these items are expensive, so we have come up with an acceptable alternative. Cabela's currently is running a promotion on shorts that are almost identical to the BSA and Venturing shorts. (Men's Item Number: QL-901860, Women's Item Number: QL-914240). If you order these, please ensure to order the right color; Olive for BSA uniform and Cinder for the Venture uniform. This is a requirement and you must have a full uniform to work at camp this year. It is a National Mandatory Standard that we must follow. Please refer to the staff guide for more information on the staff uniform.

As many of you are aware, Camp will only be operating for 6 weeks this year or 42 days. This is because of low attendance.

Staff Week begins on June 17th at 9AM. Please be there on time and with all the paperwork you have not turned in. If you have not filled out the I-9 government form, please bring 2 forms of ID. A license or photo ID(school ID) and social security card are the best.

Please pass all of this information along to your fellow staff members, so everyone is informed of the expectations.

Does that include kitchen staff who the kids don't see?

No it does not include kitchen staff, but make sure to bring your uniform for the staff photo for the end of the camping season.

because i'm an idiot and tired, if you wear pants then scout socks are not required, correct?

Technically you're supposed to wear the short socks. However unless your pants don't fit you, white socks won't be seen. The new short scout socks are white anyway so I don't see why it wouldn't matter.

Also an addition to your uniform bit Chris. Belts. I can't swear that I'll have a scout belt, but at least bring yourself a leather belt or something.
